This place was a pleasant surprise. Service was very good. The food was fresh, served promptly, and the serving size was pretty good. The beer selection was also great. I'll be back.
Quality food and beer

After about ten trips to the Londoner, I must say, the food is quite good. Neither I, nor any in my party have ever been disappointed with a single meal. As far as sandwiches are concerned, the Reuben, pulled pork, and Tower of London Burger are all excellent and served with chips (thin fries). I can also vouch for their Steak and Ale Pie, and of course, the Fish and Chips.
The atmosphere is authentic as any English-style pub you'll find in or near Baton Rouge and the beer selection is diverse. It includes numerous British Isle selections, (Samuel Smith, Newcastle, Smithwicks, Boddington's) several rare domestics, (Arrogant Bastard Ale) and various additional imports. In sum, they boast over 80 different beers.
If you're willing to be a little patient with the service (they've gotten better) and keep in mind you're going to a pub rather than a gourmet restaurant, you should enjoy your experience at the Londoner.
