Food is so-so. Better seafood at a place nearby. Very loud inside and no ambiance. Grilled oysters are the key here.
Three Stars Plus

It sort of depends on what you order. The chargrilled oysters are usually very good. The gumbo is just okay for me. Shrimp poboys are good, but I prefer larger shrimp. They are generous in the amount of shrimp.
I had a soup of the day which was a stuffed artichoke soup, once. It was pretty blah. Not good, not bad.
Service has always been very good. The place serves its purpose for basic Louisiana seafood dishes. They do fried foods pretty well.
very helpful with large parties

Several times we have gone to Acme spur of the moment with large groups (15-30 people) and they have always been super helpful with getting us seated. This place is great when you have non-seafood eaters as well- boo fries, meat pies, roast beef poboys are all winners. My only complaint- no Pepsi is not ok!!
Perfect for our setting

Business meeting restaurant pick that was perfect for seven of us. Raw and Charbroiled oysters were fantastic albeit a little small they were packed with flavor. Ordered the New Orleans Medley which included Jambalaya, Red beans and rice, and Seafood Gumbo. Meal was fantastic and would definitely recommend to any size group. Service was B+ and Beer selection was decent

Are the finest I have ever had. They alone are the reason I merit this place 3 stars. Their poboys are so-so, especially for the price without fries.
A taste of New Orleans
by LSUgusto on 7/11/10
I found the atmosphere to be very strip-mall and indifferent, sorely lacking the charm and authenticity of the French Quarter version. However, the oyster poboy was just as delicious as the original, and that's quite an achievement. The location is conveniently right off I-10, prices are good, and service was decent. I recommend it if you're longing for that New Orleans flavor without actually being there.
