One of the best seafood restaurants in B.R. Only a couple others can compete.
This was my grandpa's favorite place...

It's popularity seems to vary to locals, but I always enjoyed it.
I always get the Norman and the Fried Green Tomatoes.
Great Food and Experience

Great food -- the stuffed shrimp, fried catfish and shrimp were excellent. The "house salad" is one of my favorites.
This is the only "cole slaw" I eat!!!!! Period. I could make a meal of cole slaw and hush puppies.
Missing my fave....

Used to be I didn't need a menu when I walked in to Mike Anderson's, broiled seafood platter was all I had to say. Last time I was there I noticed a couple of changes, #1 the price & #2 the change in the broiled seafood platter. Neither of them was a nice "change" for me. Still one of the best places in town for everything from raw oysters, poboy loaves, & seafood but I just wish they would go back to the old faithful in their broiled seafood platter.

The best restaurant in Baton Rouge. Great appetizers, steaks and seafood.

We tried to eat there after my daughter's graduation from LSU. It was mid-afternoon and there were very few people there. We were a group of 8 and we were told we couldn't be seated because there were no tables available, yet we could see more than a few empty tables that could have accomodated us. The hosts were neither pleasant nor apologetic. I will never visit again!
