A great, if understated, place

Ye Olde College Inn is unassuming when you enter, however it more than delivers.
I tried the Oysters Bleu for appetizers and they were absolutely delicious; the red onion really complimented the oysters.
I had the nightly special, which consisted of Redfish pan seared with a béarnaise sauce and sweet pineapple atop roasted garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. It was the best fish I've had at a restaurant in a long time.
My SO had the other special which was seafood gumbo, and it was flavored exceptionally well. No salt needed.
The service was excellent; our server's name was Jimmie and he was very good. Knowledgeable and personable without being too overbearing. He was attentive and made us feel like we were regulars.
Overall, I was very impressed by Ye Olde College Inn...I will be returning soon.
Nice place to just hang out and have some decent food.

Not exactly your five star dining establishment, but it is a very fun place and it's right next door to Mid-City Lanes.
