Has to be the best!
by Old Smokey on 12/28/11
I've been to the Parkway Bakery and Tavern several times and have never been disappointed. My wife and I recently had shrimp po-boys and sweet potato fries. Shrimp poured off the poboy as I picked it up. The po-boy was absolutely delicious, the fries were delicious and the numerous shrimp that fell off the po-boy were delicious. When we left, some of the staff were taking a break outside and thanked us for coming. How great is that? I'll be back!

Great poboys in Mid City!
by CaliforniaTigerShark on 8/4/10
Our roast beef and shrimp poboys were both excellent. If you have gravy on the roast beef poboy you should plan on eating it with a knife and fork. The limited indoor seating and brisk lunch crowd made it a chaotic but not unpleasant experience.

Poboy lovers dream

Has some of the best poboys in New Orleans. Whether it's the roast beef, shrimp, or the unique french fry poboy, you will not be disappointed.

I’d Like a Roast Beef
by Mr. Geaux on 1/29/10
How many times has Parkway heard, “I’d like a Roast Beef Po-Boy.” It is certainly hard to beat their hot roast beef with gravy. Their other sandwiches get good reviews, but the roast beef is what many rave about.

On my last visit, I decided to get a dessert to go in addition to my roast beef. I was very impressed with their Home-made Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce. Not only was it excellent, but it was also large enough for four servings.

Parkway is like many New Orleans sandwich shops, but with extras that include servers, a down-home bar area, and a menu on paper and not just on the wall. Overall, it has a great New Orleans feel.
