nice, relaxing, slow paced eating

went there for dinner last night. Ordered a bottle of PICOS del MONTGO ‘Old Vines’ Cariñena Garnacha 2009. Pretty good wine for a very good price.
They had a $2 Tuesday Tapas menu, which we got three things from. One was a grilled shrimp on some toast, another was some chorizo with brave potatos. Both of these were pretty good, but very, very small. The other was a tomato and olive oil on toast. This kind of tasted like play dough. After that, we ordered:
carne curadossalt cured beef bresola, paprika pork lomo, & cured chorizo
with croutons & accompaniments (there was also a garlic sausage and one other meat which I can't remember)
plato de quesosspanish artisan cheeses & accompaniments
Both had 5 different things on them, as well as some nuts, apples, and some sort of paste which tasted like fig, but the waiter called it something else. We then got:
empanada de crustaceocrawfish & gruyere in crispy pies with mango salsa
moorish porkcured & grilled tenderloin over flash fried spinach& horseradish sour cream
For dessert, we went with:
natillas de panwhite chocolate bread puddings
with saffron anglaise and coconut gelato
This was excellent.
Total bill after tip came out to $100 even, and we walked out very satisfied. Will definitely go back, probably on a Monday, when all wines by the bottle are half off.
