Dempsey's Poboys Reviews (3)
Consistently Great
by Tiger in the Sticks on 1/30/13
Service and food are consistently great. When there is a delay, they are very good about explaining it. We've eaten there for dinner @ the same time they were serving a bus full of high school kids; enjoyed watching them handle everything without sacrificing quality,
Dempsey's on Jefferson

Probably the best fry kitchen in town and hands-down the best onion rings. The Monday special is red beans and rice (of course) served with a fried boneless chicken breast that is out of this world.

Try to go early or late at lunchtime; the parking lot isn't big enough to accommodate the crowd and you can circle for 15 minutes trying to find a space.
Favorite In The Area

Since they opened the Jefferson location I have eaten there many times. I cannot remember one disappointment and more often it is surprisingly good. The best part is value. They offer perhaps the best quality to cost quotient in lower end casual dining. Some places you think, it's good, then have to add a BUT when examining the check. Here it is, wow, that's a deal. Daily specials are often legitimately special, not just a menu rotation item.
