Lil G's has been a well kept secret on the West Bank of New Orleans for years now. It originally was located on Lapalco but moved do to Belle Chasse and has been a hit with the locals.
Cajun and Seafood type of dishes and Po-Boys. They also started serving Breakfast till 11:00 am recently and that now has become a big hit. I've seen Chef KD eating here on his way back from fishing the Venice area and a lot of the local fishing guides direct there clients to Lil G's for good home cooked Louisiana plates!
Within the past year I was told that Alex Patout had been giving the cook staff some advice (not that they needed any) and Lil G's have expanded its menu.
Try the many Pasta dishes especially the Pasta Pointe-A-La-Hache, the Stuffed soft-shell crab or a Seafood Platter. You just can't pick wrong!
Their desserts are outstanding, the wait staff is friendly and helpful and the owners will check on you to make sure everything is in order!
